How to Be Romantic
Couples, who have been together for a while, often take each other for granted, forgetting how to be romantic. Romance doesn’t have to be a chore as it’s the little thoughts and gestures that show your partner that you do care.
Make Time for Each Other
Stress at work and family life is a few of the many leading causes of dwindling romance among couples. The most common reason, however, is a simple lack of time spent together. Being with each other brings a sense of togetherness but often time, couples underestimate how important that is. Set aside at least one night a week for a date together. This could be anything from cooking a meal together, to a night at the theater, as long as you both agree to spend some time alone with each other void of other distractions.
Remind Them That You Love them
Be creative and seek for various ways to convey your love to them. Leave a little note for your partner somewhere they will see it, like on the fridge or their computer screen. Even three simple, but powerful, words of “I love you” can make these little gestures mean a lot more.
Be generous, especially when complimenting your partner – telling them how much you love their smile or how wonderful they look will surely flatter them to their hearts.
Handwritten letters are rare these days. If your partner is the traditional type, sending them a love letter will melt their hearts for sure. It’s the thought of you taking the time and effort to write them a love letter just to show your love, that blows them away.
Show Your Affections
If you want to treat your partner, plan for a candlelight dinner at home and surprise them by cooking their favorite meals at home. You could even include aphrodisiac foods to put you both in the mood for romance. Have an even more affectionate meal by feeding each other with finger foods, such as asparagus, exotic fruits, figs, chocolates and many more.
Be a Little Extravagant
If small gestures are not your cup of tea then, then be a little extravagant. Surprise your dearest with a romantic weekend break at a place where no one can disturb you. Or simple pamper them with that piece of jewelry they’ve had their eyes on.
As long as romance is in the air, anything goes!
